Weathered

Unique Horse Sculpture in Ceramic Porcelain Stoneware 2026

H16cm x W16cm

Weathered celebrates the resilience of the wonderful Shetland pony, a small, hardy native breed of pony from the Shetland Islands of Scotland. Their resilience, strength, and extremely dense coat equip them to thrive in harsh climates.

Sculpted from life on a windy day at Keysoe Cuddle Ponies in Bedfordshire, their specially trained ponies, who provide a unique equine animal-assisted therapy service to individuals, schools, hospitals, hospices, care homes and those in need. Alternative therapy sessions empower individuals with a sense of purpose, a place where they feel safe and comfortable, and able to express themselves more.

Weathered will be exhibited with the Society of Equestrian Artists at The Horse in Art 2026 at the wonderful Museum of the Horse at the Sally Mitchell Gallery,  Market Place, Tuxford, Newark NG22 0LA from 14th -26th September 2026.
