2025 Creativity, connections and milestones

January has been a whirlwind of creativity, connections, and milestones, bringing many of last year’s efforts to life with a bang!

I’m thrilled to share that my sculptures are currently exhibited in four galleries across the UK, each in a selected exhibition, but finishing soon if you would like to visit.

  • The New Art Gallery Walsall (until 2nd Feb)
  • RBSA Friends Exhibition Birmingham (until 8th Feb)
  • Fronteer Gallery Sheffield (until 6th Feb)
  • Rosehouse Pottery Gallery Lichfield, as an ongoing featured artist.

I will also be participating in Artist demonstrations of my ceramic sculptures on Saturday, February 1st, 2025, from 10-4 p.m. at The New Art Gallery Walsall, so come along, have a chat, and even get your hands on clay!

But for me, it’s not just about exhibiting and demonstrating, it’s about being part of incredible art communities, building friendships, and sharing invaluable advice and support.

RBSA Artists Talks was a special moment for me, sharing the stories and influences behind my sculptures Noble Mariner and Primate exhibited at the Gallery and the truly positive feedback from visitors. The connections with fellow artists and the insights into their inspiration and methodology have been truly fascinating, especially with cultural art form techniques and crossover of ideas.

“Art meets Poetry 2025” was a wonderful collaboration. Two of my sculptures, Layers of Being and Primate, inspired powerful poems written and recited by Barrington Gordon and Jane James and my very own poem-(the first poem I’ve ever written and recited), featured in the publication, “Art meets Poetry 2025”, generously supported by Creative Black Country and Walsall Society Artists Annual 74th Exhibition at The New Art Gallery Walsall, where each event was enthusiastically enjoyed by so many artists, poets and visitors to the Gallery.

“Blue” Open Exhibition of small works was a theme very close to my heart with my love of intense blues and turquoise, featuring in many of my works and Equs #2, where I explored form, movement, texture and colour of future larger and exterior sculptures.

Further workshops exploring my love of animal sculpture and movement, where I demonstrated and tutored diverse and mixed-ability adults as a sculpture topic for Midlands Potters Association courses, exploring their love of clay and ceramic sculpture, was so enjoyable, with some really wonderful expressive work produced by enthusiastic novices exploring the capabilities and their love of clay.

Thank you to all who support, collaborate, and inspire more creativity in the months ahead. I will share more of this exciting year and the opportunities on the horizon!
