RBSA Summer Show



As a newly elected Associate member of The Royal Birmingham Society of Artists and elected into the Birmingham Art Circle, it gives me much pleasure to be exhibiting Held in Thought, a new male portrait sculpture, in The RBSA Summer Show, Birmingham’s equivalent of the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition. The Society’s biggest open call of the year attracted hundreds of diverse submissions from artists based all around the world.
Held in Thought explores the quiet pressure of expectation. of how men should act, feel and love. Preview evening: Thursday, 18 June, 6.00 pm – 8.00 pm. Hope you can join us.

Delighted to be selected for the Tarpey Open, with Poised. Showcasing the best of UK contemporary art and a diverse and exciting group exhibition in this wonderful space, in one of the Midlands’ foremost Commercial Contemporary Fine Art Galleries.

Yardley Arts Open 2026



So looking forward to the new Sculpture Garden at Yardley Arts. I wonder if Noble Mariner and Equs will be displayed inside or out at Yardley Arts Open 2026. I will have to wait and see. I hope you can join us at the Awards reception & Private view: 25 June 2026, 6 – 8pm. Exhibition dates: 25 June – 19 July 2026. Opening hours: Thursday – Sunday, 11am – 5pm.

Selection panel: David Mach RA – Renowned Scottish sculptor, collagist and installation artist. Royal Academician since 1998. Turner Prize nominee (1988) and former Professor of Sculpture at the Royal Academy Schools.
Anthony Spira – Director of MK Gallery since 2009. Former curator at Whitechapel Gallery, London and the Jeu de Paume, Paris.
Amanda Lowther & Louise Newton – Directors of The British Art Portfolio, (est. 2011). Specialists in contemporary & nineteenth-century British art and sculpture, based in Northamptonshire.

I am busy working on many new sculptures, both figurative and equine, and arranging sculpture masterclasses and workshops.
