A weekend of sculpture, ceramics and conversations in Birmingham. 10th and 11th July.

I’m looking forward to spending time with my work and meeting visitors at two wonderful Birmingham events this weekend.

On Saturday 10th July, I’ll be at the RBSA Gallery from 2pm for a Meet the Artist session, sharing the stories behind my ceramic sculptures, including “Held in Thought” on display in the current RBSA Summer Exhibition, and the inspiration behind this piece, my practice, and the journey from clay, texture and form to the finished piece. I’m also delighted that this sculpture has recently found its new home — always a very special moment for me and a wonderful connection between the artwork and its new collector. Summer Open is a diverse selected exhibition of Sculpture, painting, mixed media, photography, textiles, and Ceramics-Something for everyone. RBSA Gallery, 4 Brook St, Birmingham B3 1SA. Free Admission.

The RBSA is located in the heart of the 11th Annual Jewllery Quarter Festival, in St Paul’s Square, right next to the main entertainment area, where St Pauls Square will come alive between 12pm to 7pm with live music, dance, and entertainment throughout the day curated by the Jam House, making it a fantastic opportunity to explore art, creativity, craftsmanship, and the vibrant arts scene throughout this historic and current area.

Download the full programme here, and plan your visits alongside the RBSA.

Ikon Ceramics Fair

Then on Sunday 11th July, I’ll be at the Ikon Gallery Ceramics Fair, celebrating all things clay and contemporary ceramics. I’ll be there with a selection of my work, sharing my passion for sculpture and chatting with visitors about my inspiration and creative process.

If you’re in Birmingham this weekend, I’d love to see you and talk about Sculpture and my passion for clay.

The fair is free to attend and takes place throughout Ikon Gallery, alongside the current exhibitions Break the Mould and Angela De La Cruz: UPRIGHT.
